The Turkey of St. Tropez
The cover article of today’s New York Times Travel section is on Turkbuku, on the Bodrum Peninsula in Turkey. According to the Times it is the new “St.-Tropez.” They make only a cursory reference to the Maca Kizi, which is where I stayed on my trip there last year. In my opinion, the place does live up to its hype, gorgeous scenery, stiff drinks, amazing seafood, and tight, bronzed bodies on the "beach" in white, full make up, and platform shoes as entertainment. See more of my photos of Turkbuku and Istanbul.
